Who do you turn to when you're in need? What would you do if they weren't there?

Tragedy doesn't follow a set of rules, or have a set timeline. No matter the circumstances there is never enough "reason", and the seconds it takes for tragedy to occur will always translate to the feeling of infinite loss. Whether it's a young person being robbed on their way to their after school job they took to help support their family, the family reeling over the struggles of a loved one with addiction, the grieving mother who just lost her infant, or the community at a loss from the suicide of a friend and loved one, each situation requires care and concern as unique as the person experiencing it.

Victim Services Toronto provides emotional support and practical assistance to individuals, families and communities affected by crime or sudden tragic events. Victim Services Toronto assists more than 20,000 people each year, which includes more than 7,000 children. Operating 24 hours per day, 365 days per year Victim Services Toronto provides psychological first aid/trauma management, practical assistance and follow up services to anyone in need.

I'm fundraising to participate in the B & O Yorkville run on September 10th. Our agency has come a long way throughout the years and this wouldn't be possible without the wonderful generosity of our supporters.

Thank you. Your help is invaluable.
