FUNDRAISING

Since its inception in 2010, the B&O Yorkville Run has raised over $800,000 for various local charities including YWCA Toronto, Mount Sinai Hospital, Prostate Cancer Canada, Jesse Ketchum Public School, Victim Services Toronto, Wellspring, Canadian Cancer Society and Golden Rescue. We are very pleased to announce we've now grown our list of causes to 24 local charities covering a wide range of causes. We hope to inspire our runners to find an organization that truly ignites their passion and motivates them to fundraise. http://yorkvillerun.com/the-cause/

Fundraisers who raise over $500 will receive their choice of luxurious fundraising prizes from Bang & Olufsen, Louis Vuitton, Tiffany & Co. and other Yorkville boutiques. View the fundraising prizes here:  http://yorkvillerun.com/prizes/

TEAM FUNDRAISING

The top three fundraising teams will win great prizes, including:

1. Gift certicates to some of Yorkville’s high-end restaurants,

2. An invition to attend an exclusive, VIP cocktail reception after the race, which will be attended by top fundraisers, top elite runners, major race sponsors, local dignitaries, and media, to name a few.

3. Individual fundraising prizes: http://yorkvillerun.com/prizes/

In our experience, participants who fundraise as part of a team raise 60 per cent more funds than participants who fundraise alone. Forming a team -- whether it’s with your family, friends, or co-workers -- is an effective way to harness support for your selected charity while exercising your leadership and team building skills.

Each team requires a Team Captain who creates the team and selects a team passcode to share with potential team members. The Team Captain is responsible for recruitment, encouraging team members, and keeping fundraising efforts on track.

You can chose to become a Team Captain or join a team during registration and post-registration once you’ve logged into your dashboard: https://yorkvillerun.com/login/

Participants who register to fundraise as part of a team will have both a personal fundraising webpage and a team page to track progress, publish personal and collective goals, and share news with potential donors.

AWARDS AND PRIZES

All finishers in the B&O Yorkville Run will receive customized medals. Cash and category prizes will only be distributed to participants in the Championship Run.
